Middle School Changes
Good Afternoon, I hope this email finds you all well. There will be some changes in the Middle School this upcoming school year, and I just wanted to let you all know what and how those changes might affect your child.
Start time is 7:45 A.M (Doors will open at that time)
Students will NOT be issued their own chromebooks. Carts of chromebooks will be available for students in their classrooms as needed.
Math- Students in the Middle School will receive 86 minutes (2 separate periods with the same teacher) of Math instruction this year.
Parent Square Communication- Parent Square will be the new form of communication through the school this year. Please make sure you are active after the first week of school. Delays, cancelations, and all emergencies will be communicated with this program. We will still have ALMA available to check grades.
NO MIKES period. Students will have 9 periods of instruction, with Homeroom and Breakfast in the morning.
4 digit lunch code. Your students will be given a 4 digit lunch code to receive lunch this year. This number will be accessible in ALMA, as well as given to the student on their schedules the first day of school. PLEASE make sure your child does not share their lunch code. There will be a table at Meet the Teacher to discuss the new lunch program.
September 17th will be school picture day with makeups being October 8th.
