Immunization Requirements
In accordance with Pennsylvania state law, students will not be permitted to enter school without proof of immunizations as indicated below: For attendance in all grades students need the following vaccines:
4 doses of tetanus* (1 dose on or after the 4th birthday)
*Usually given as DTP or DTaP or DT or TD Proof of immunization means a written record showing the dates (month, day, year) your child was immunized. Exemptions to Immunizations: a. Medical Exemptions-Children need not be immunized if a physician or his/her designee provides a written statement that immunization may be detrimental to the health of the child. b. Religious Exemption-Children need not be immunized if the parent, guardian, or emancipated child objects to the immunization in writing based on religious grounds or on the basis of a strong moral or ethical conviction similar to a religious belief. An exempt child may be prohibited from attending school during a disease outbreak. |
