The Visual Arts program at Carmichaels Jr./Sr. High School consists of 7th and 8th grade art, as well as Sr. High level art courses. Here, students explore the Elements and Principles of Design, and study various artists and eras in Art History. Students are challenged to create works of their own focusing on these topics and will use techniques learned in pencil, charcoal, pastels, various paints, clay, plaster, found objects, and more. The arts allow students to expand their education through creative practices, increase problem solving skills, and connect visual knowledge to other subjects to get well-rounded experience.
