Classrooms for the Future is a high
school reform project designed to change instructional practice in English,
Math, Science, and Social Studies classrooms and increase student
achievement. Carmichaels is committed to a system-wide initiative to create
technology-rich instructional settings to foster 21st Century skills and
prepare our students for career and college success. Carmichaels High School
has been awarded $80,000 for the 2007-2008 school year to purchase teacher
laptops, electric white boards, projectors and software. For the 2008-2009
school year we were awarded $40,000 to purchase student laptops and
software. In accordance to the Classrooms for the Future initiative, Cassie Menhart has been named as the instructional technology coach. She will support CFF teachers to effectively integrate the technology components into their daily lessons and provide resources necessary for the 21st century transformation. Mrs. Menhart has received training and participates in a series of professional development courses to help facilitate effective strategies to CFF teachers. |
