Area Echo Yearbook * Buying A yearbook is an annual event for most students. Though that it
may seem rather easy to purchase a yearbook every year, there is a great
deal of work that goes behind organizing and producing the yearbook. On
the first day of school the yearbook staff immediately starts to plan
their yearbook. Ads must be sold to lower the cost of the yearbook. The
yearbook staff talks to local businesses and asks for their support.
Once the ads are sold; the book cover, layout, overall theme, and
overall content are all factors that run through the minds of the Echo
staff. Events must be attended by the staff, pictures must be taken, and
stories must be written. After the information is collected, it must be
sorted and then organized. There is a great deal of work for everyone
who is involved in producing the yearbook; but in the end, the product
is well worth the effort.
