Carmichaels High School senior golfer got a hole in one on the wrong hole during a match against the California Trojans..
Dan Lasko, 17, pushed his drive on the par 5 second hole on the red course at the Cedarbrook Golf Club in Belle Vernon, PA. It swerved onto the green of the eighth hole - and dropped in the cup. Dan, who has started on the team since he was a freshman, said: “I really got a hold of the drive but it went to the right, flew over some trees“. “I looked for several minutes with no luck finding the ball and then one of my competitors from California High School said check the hole.” “We were stunned. None of us had seen anything like that before.”
Dan who went on to shoot 39 that day, added: “It was kind of funny. I only wish it could have been on the correct hole”. Head Coach Dave Briggs who has recorded three holes in one on the correct holes said: "Only Dan could do something like this. This is not something I coached him to do. It was kind of unconventional, but still impressive. A hole in one - at any hole - is still a dream for many golfers."
